CBG is known as the “mother” or “stem-cell” cannabinoid. It is the chemical derivative of all other cannabinoids including CBD and THC - enzymes within the hemp plant activate acids that convert CBGa into either CBDa or THCa. Due to its low concentration in hemp plants (usually less than 1%) it is known as a minor cannabinoid.
